SIM Technology Group Limited ("SIM Technology" or "Group"), a listed company in the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (SEHK: 2000), is a leading independent mobile handset and wireless communication module developer in China. SIM Technology's financial headquarter is located in Hong Kong while our R&D center and LCD module factory are both based in Shanghai. With the industry-recognized system and design capabilities for mobile handset, SIM Technology has set up a Research and Development Center in Shanghai. This has further enhanced SIM Technology's capability in the design and development of wireless terminal for multi media handset ranging from 2.5G, 2.75G to 3G. Having established a world-class design team full of experienced and professional engineers who drive the core technology of wireless communication at Shanghai Simcom, the company in a very short time frame has designed and launched more than 100 mobile handsets solutions with multimedia functions such as cameras, MP3 and MPEG4 since 2004. These handsets are widely sourced by renowned and branded mobile handset manufacturers. Worth noting, SIM Technology's success in keeping clients satisfied also hinges on the company's unique vertically-integrated system/design model. This model has enabled the company to develop new products/solutions with advanced features quicker, enhance technology stability, superior product quality at competitive pricing and reduced time-to-market. Shanghai Simcom' s industry achievements include but not limited to certification as "New/High Technology Enterprise in Shanghai", "Outstanding Software Enterprise in Shanghai" as well as "State Outstanding Software Enterprise". In recognition of the outstanding market performance and rapid growth in the design and development of mobile handset solutions, in March 2005, Shanghai Simcom was awarded "2004 Fastest Growing Enterprise in China Mobile Communication terminal market" by China Center for Information Industry Development ("CCID"). In summary, SIM Technology is no. 1 in the mobile handset design market in terms of sales turnover and net profit, comparing the financial performance of the industry peers for both 2004 and 2005. We also achieved net profit of HK$110 million, representing a growth of 125% over the same period last year. Owing to our turbo-charged three year average revenue growth of 705 percent, SIM Technology Group has been continuously recognized as one of the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 Asia Pacific 2005 Program and one of the Deloitte' China Technology Fast 50 China Program by the world renowned accounting firm Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu in 2005 and 2006.
